Amani National Congress (ANC) leader, Musalia Mudavadi, has blasted President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, accusing them of killing Kenyans’ dreams.

Speaking yesterday, Mudavadi termed Uhuru/ Ruto as the greatest threats to devolution, saying they have made devolution a nightmare.

The ANC leader noted that while devolution was meant to foster inclusiveness, equity and protect the marginalized, Uhuru/ Ruto were reluctant to cede devolved functions as required by the Constitution, making them the real enemies of progress.

“To date, devolution in Kenya is a nightmare to development, a conduit for corruption, nepotism tribalism, inefficiency and incompetence. The promise of devolution is being held hostage through corrupt cartels running national and county systems by remote control,” said Mudavadi.

He asked Kenyans to register as voters in large numbers to help him send Uhuru/ Ruto home come 2017 to return the country back on track.
