POLICE OFFICER RAPES 6 MONTHS PREGNANT WOMAN IN NAKURU BITING HER LIPS

Just how secure the civilians are in the hands of police is a question that has been asked over the years.
For a long time the police service has been held in fear and suspicion given the harsh way they handle matter but off late it is more due to the criminal officers in it who terrorize and commit crimes with an alarming abandon. A woman in Nakuru is nursing injuries as she awaits the charging of a police constable who raped her.
On Monday, an 18 year old waitress who is 6 months pregnant was walking home from work at about 10 pm when a police constable John Waweru accosted her chased her and pinned her on the ground raping her until when a passerby, hearing the woman’s cries rushed to her aid the constable rushed off. He had bitten the lady’s lips and raped her. A neighbor helped the lady get help from AP officers who arrested the cop.





The lady alleges that some elders and police at the station had offered her 100,000 KES so that she does not report the matter to the media and she now fears for her life. The police officer was also facing disciplinary action for past offences and had a bad record according to the Kuresoi OCPD.
This incident comes when the Police Oversight Committee is still handling the sad case of Winnie Mabel who was repeatedly raped under the hands of two police men in different instances and betrayed by a system that was to give her justice.
