On 18/02/2016 Ugandans held Presidential elections which were publically rigged by the incumbent dictator President Museveni's regime. The figures that were used to declare Mr Museveni as the winner do not match with the figures that were read out at various polling centres immediately after the election.
We therefore call upon the United Kingdom Prime Minister not to recognise Mr Museveni as the legitimate President of Uganda and to expedite a forensic independent audit of the election results by international experts, to call for the immediate and unconditional release of Dr Besigye and other political prisoners, to freeze assets for all those that are masterminding torture of innocent Ugandans, issue travel bans and above all investigate and prosecute the following in the International courts of law: Mr Yoweri Museveni, Miss Kasule Lumumba, General Kale Kayihura, General Katumba Wamala, Felix Kaweesa among others.
We are also calling for an international investigation into the actions of head of the Uganda electoral commission Mr. Badru Kiggundu.
The elections were characterised by, among others; murder of opposition supporters, torture of women, children, the elderly and other vulnerable Ugandans, intimidation, disappearance of people, delay of delivery of voting material in opposition strongholds, manipulation of results, lack of transparency, imprisonment of opposition leaders and supporters, harassment, social media blockage and state monitoring and broad day light vote rigging. These tactics used by Mr Museveni who has been in power since 1986 are similar to the tactics used by rogue regimes that were first to congratulate him like President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, President Vladimir Putin of Russia, Kim Jong-un of North Korea, Paul Kagame of Rwanda among others.
These elections have been stringly criticized by the United Nations, European Union observers, the head of the Commonwealth observers’ team President Obasanjo, the Ugandan Church leaders, the United States government, Botswana government, local observers and Uganda opposition candidates among others.
Before and throughout the campaigns plus election process, there was excessive use of ammunitions, tear gas, water cannons, military tanks, commandos among others towards unarmed opposition supporters and sympathisers. There is plenty of material that can easily be accessed online showing how women and other vulnerable people were/are victims of these violations of the basic human rights.
Many opposition activists, volunteers, sympathisers, supporters and leaders were rounded up by agents of the current regime and thrown into torture chambers known as safe houses, others have disappeared, some have been murdered by agents of the state, many others are in prisons across the country with no access to their families and legal representatives. Majority of Ugandans are now living under fear for their lives due to their political opinions.
As of today the leading opposition candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye is under house arrest with no formal charges brought against him. Dr. Besigye has been arrested many times during and after the elections. He has been subjected to inhumane and degrading treatment from the regime that no human being should be subjected to. He has been pepper sprayed, imprisoned with no charges, abducted, beaten, starved, shoved and dragged into torture vans, live ammunitions pointed towards him, denied a right to vote in the just concluded local elections, denied access to his doctors among others. Many people who have tried to visit him at his residence in Kasangati have ended up in Mr Museveni's torture chambers operated by General Kale Kayihura, General Katumba Wamala, Felix Kawesa among others.

By signing this petition you will be standing with the people of Uganda in their fight against dictator Museveni’s reign of terror and helping Ugandans to achieve justice, freedom, peace and the rule of law.

This petition will be delivered to various governments and International organisations.
Thank you.
