Kenyatta University second year Bachelor of Arts Nancy Macharia escaped slaughter after allegedly meeting a rich a guy whom she had met in Facebook. Nancy was attracted by the man after he promised he will marry her after meeting. Despite advice from friends not to meet stranger alone, She had already made her mind. Only one thing saved her live, she could gone case. Here is her narration on what happened.

“Am alive today because of God’s grace. I met this guy on Facebook called David and after chatting for some time, we fell love to each other even before meeting, he used to send me money for use until one time he proposed we me meet. Because I reside in university hostels, proposed we meet at Blue Springs hotel along Thika road at 7pm on Friday. I arrived place early and nervous and at exactly 7pm I saw cool saloon car drive into hotel, I knew it was him. He gave me a cool kiss and warm hug. I felt like I was in another world. He ordered for food and drinks as we knew each other more. Just then I started to be suspicious when someone started calling him but couldn’t pick. After like 10minutes he excused himself so that he could go to washroom. I suspected things were not right because he excused himself after receiving a call from the same person who had been nagging him. I follow him seconds shortly. Just then I overheard him say “ I got the sacrifice at hand , just prepare requirements , I will be there in 1 hour “ .. I was shocked and almost collapsed, I composed myself, said a short prayer and quickly moved out of hotel took express motorbike up to Githurai. I switched off my phone and deactivated my Facebook account in shock. I had to change my identity. Live is so fragile. That was turning point in my life” narrated Nancy while in tears
