Anne Waiguru may be embattled in a resurgence NYS case but that has not stopped her from planning her future in public service.
A few days after the EACC cleared her of any wrong doing in the scandal, it was widely rumored that she would make a return in the government. However, she appears to be seeking bigger things and in a weekend service, she was urged on to go for the top gubernatorial seat in Nairobi.
A week later she said she had carried a series of consultations and had even talked with the head of state over the matter. Well two days later in a Jubilee meeting held at La Mada hotel she announced her candidature and confirmed that she will be gunning for the governorship of Nairobi.
It remains to be seen what the latest revelations would do to her bid and momentum going forward. TNA chairman John Sakaja also announced candidature in the seat. Here is the video of her admitting having consulted with the president
