A woman who was being driven to hospital died hours after police pulled aside the husband for over-speeding, took him to the police station then to court where he was fined Ksh 30,000, all this time oblivious of the fate of his wife.
When still locked up in police cells, he received a call from his brother, who was still in the car with the wife, that she had passed on at the police station parking lot.
The incident was reported by an eyewitness who has posted the unfortunate ordeal on social media. She claims the man pleaded with the police but to no avail.
The incident is reported to have occurred in Nakuru where officers at Nakuru Police Station seemed unconcerned with the plight of the man, and his sick wife.
